I have to admit, since the SUMMER SALE, I have been doing few trips of quilting fabric haul. I just have very little resistance when it comes to fabric.

But it’s all worth it.

Why do I buy fabric?

Fabric makes me HAPPY in a lot of different phases of their lifetime with me.

I am HAPPY WHEN:

  • …I buy and shop for them – browsing for fabrics online or in store, is such a pleasure. Seeing all the colours, the possibilities. Such a fun thing to do for sure.
  • …I get them in the mail. Who doesn’t love happy mail?
  • …I have to keep them in place. I love organising fabrics, petting the fabric, and bundle of fabrics in a collection is so beautiful to look at.
  • …I look at them on display in my sewing space. They keep me inspired and gets me giddy to get things going in my sewing room so I can start making with them and just so I can buy more. Haha. The cycle goes on.
  • …I start working with them!
  • …they’re in my quilts or items I used. And I keep loving them until they are all worn out and used out full of love.

So isn’t that worth it?

LOL

I know I don’t have to justify my purchases, and we totally can buy fabrics or anything we love for as long as we are in our budget and means. And for as long as we are HAPPY. I like to say that I am also supporting small businesses and designers.

Fabric SALE and quilting fabric haul

Recently, I grabbed a few things from the SALE section HERE and some from the monthly BASICS sale for background fabrics.

I always buy BASIC backgrounds only when they’re on sale. This is one way to keep the cost down aside many more ways to budget and save when making a quilt. –> you can read about how to quilt on a budget HERE for more ideas.

So here’s my recent quilting fabric Haul and my plans for them.

The new Tula Pink Tiny Beast Collection!

After the 100days 100 blocks quilt, I have to replenish my Tula Pink stash right??? I absolutely love this collection. I love the tiny dots and stripes that goes along with it too. Maybe I am going to make another 100 days 100 blocks with these?

By the way, the Kinship 100 days 100 block sew-a-long is coming again this August! If you want to join along, the quilt-along is going to use the Kinship Sampler Quilt Pattern. You can get the pattern for 10% off with code AMIRA here.

These are the two bundle, Glimmer and Glow all in its glory.

I am having difficulty in removing the plastic wrap. I feel like I want to keep them pristine in their wraps for a while longer before I am ready to work with them.

I pre-ordered these, so they were not exactly in the SALE section just yet.

Whimsical Romance Fat Quarter Bundle

I don’t do all of the Sew Sampler Box project, but this one we received in October 2021 was a lovely one that I wanted to sew someday! When there was a sale on the same fabric collection Whimsical Romance by Keera Job, I grabbed it so that I can make a bigger quilt – so I’ll be making a king size or a queen size quilt with these following the pattern.

I’ll be using Bella Solid Mauve and Bella Solid Flax

quilting fabric haul

Another Sew Sampler Project, this time I just bought the Solid, Confetti Cotton Stargazer (still on SALE) to go with the fabric we received in our March 2022 box and the Snail Trail Foundation Paper pad.

Tasha Noel Quilt Fair

Another fun bundle I could not resist. I love Tasha Noel’s fabric, and have used her collection in fun projects like this apron here.

When I bought this, it was on the SUMMER SALE. At the moment it is no longer on sale where I bought it, but you can check out other fat quarter bundles on SALE HERE>

I have not any plans for these yet, but I also got some Blossom Basic as the background.

Sweetwater SnowKissed for the ChristmasTime Sew-a-Long!

In addition to the recent quilting fabric haul, I was also sent some fabric bundles to work with in the next few projects!

ChristmasTime Quilt-A-Long is coming soon and I’ll be using the fabric line from Sweetwater called Snow Kissed sent to me from MODA and Fat Quarter Shop for this sew-a-along! Since I have picked only several fabrics to use for that, I have some more fat eights left to share! Hence I would love to give it away to one lucky reader!
