Honestly, my July was fast!

I did some secret sewing, lots of little progress here and there.

Above photo:  My label that will placed on the backing of my Sewcialites quilt.

But most excited about making lots of labels for my quilts. I love that and I’m also excited to make videos on how to make them for the upcoming course in September.

If you want to see the sneak peek of what I made and want a chance to win 20+ pretty custom quilt labels and a Stripology Squared Mini Ruler- make sure you leave a comment on the YouTube video below:

Note: You need to watch on YouTube and comment there. I’ll pick a winner on my next video in about 10 more days. ~20th August. See you there.

  1. Your web page and video are always beautifully done; so many great hints for quilting. thank you!

  2. This is a fascinating video, Amira; it’s wonderful to see that you have more than one WIP going at a time. My quilting buddies tease me that I’m always starting something new before finishing a previous quilt. Now I don’t feel so badly about it!
I think your scrappy log cabin quilt with that lovely neutral background is my favorite (it is a log cabin pattern, isn’t it?). There’s something about combining so many colors with white that keeps it fresh-looking and pretty.
I’ve seen those strip cutting rulers before but not bought one as they’re rather expensive here in the U.S. When I want to fussy cut, I mark my piece lightly with chalk and a ruler to set up my center and corners, then cut the piece with a square ruler. Not the easiest way I guess but it works OK. The prizes you offer are great – especially the quilt labels. Other blogs will sometimes offer high-end prizes such as electronic sewing machines, or sergers, etc., but I love tools and books!
    Thank you for your generosity.
